Sonja Denn is a lifelong Minnesotan, educator, and community advocate running as the DFL candidate for Minnesota House 22A. With over 15 years of experience in public education and community organizing, Sonja understands the challenges facing working families in our district.
Why I’m Running #
I’m running because I believe House 22A deserves leadership that reflects our values — strong schools, affordable healthcare, good jobs, and a government that works transparently for the people it serves.
Too many families in our district are struggling to make ends meet while the cost of healthcare, childcare, and housing continues to rise. I’m ready to fight for policies that make a real difference in people’s lives.

- Educator — 15+ years teaching in Minnesota public schools
- Community Organizer — Founded the House 22A Neighborhood Alliance
- Parent — Raising two children in the community I hope to serve
- Volunteer — Active with local food shelf, PTA, and youth mentorship programs
